DecisionDecode

Terms

Last updated 8 September 2026.

Using DecisionDecode means accepting what is below. It is short, because the site is simple: it is free, it has no accounts, and it holds nothing of yours.

What this is

A calculator for a weighted average decision matrix. You name your choices, list the factors that matter, weigh each one, and score every choice against it. The site multiplies and adds. That arithmetic is the whole service.

It is not advice

DecisionDecode is not a lawyer, doctor, accountant, therapist or financial adviser, and nothing it shows you is professional advice of any kind. It has no view about your situation. It cannot, because the only things it knows about your decision are the numbers you typed.

The result is your own weights and scores added up. If the total is wrong, it is wrong because an input was, and changing one number changes the winner. Treat the answer as something to argue with, not something to obey. Decisions with legal, medical or financial consequences deserve a qualified human as well.

The AI suggestions

On the factors step, the site asks a third-party AI model to draft a list of factors you might care about. That list is a starting point and often an imperfect one. Every suggestion can be renamed, reordered or deleted, and you can write your own instead. The model never sees your weights, your scores or your result, and it never picks a winner. If the suggestions fail to load, the step still works by hand.

What you type stays yours

Your question, options, factors, weights, scores and result belong to you. We claim no rights over them and we keep no copy. The privacy page sets out exactly what leaves your browser and what does not.

Feedback and contact messages are the exception. Send one and we may read it, act on it and quote it internally to improve the site. Don't put anything confidential in either box.

Fair use

Use the site for your own decisions, as many as you like. Do not attack it, scrape it, resell it, hammer the API endpoints, or use it to break the law. We may block access that does any of those, without notice.

The wording, design and code of the site are ours. Your results are not: export them, publish them, put them in a slide deck, whatever you want.

No warranty, and the limit of what we owe you

The site is provided as it is, free, with no guarantee that it will be available, correct or fit for any particular purpose. It may go down, change or disappear without notice.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that follows from using it, including a decision that turned out badly. You chose the factors, you set the weights, you set the scores, and you made the call.

Which law applies

The site is operated from India, and these terms are governed by Indian law. Nothing here removes a right your own country's consumer law gives you and does not let you waive.

Changes and questions

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. Continuing to use the site after that means accepting the new version. Anything unclear, write to us from the contact page.
